In 1947, Stanley Calvert, Walton Calvert, and Jimmy Jones founded Calvert-Jones as an appliance business, serving the burgeoning Virginia communities of Arlington and Alexandria. Adapting to the ever-changing needs of their clients, the company gradually shifted focus, evolving into a full-service commercial mechanical contractor in the 1970s.
The modern Calvert-Jones is built on a solid foundation of mechanical systems and services that includes new construction, health-care facilities, mechanical asset management, specialized renovation and repair projects, building automation and energy management, environmental consulting, and predictive mechanical maintenance programs and service. We have a well earned reputation for performing the difficult, intricate, specialized tasks that the majority of mechanical contractors in our area either cannot or will not perform.
