Energy Costs in Virginia On The Rise
Dominion Virginia Power customers will not only be paying for high gas prices at the pump; they will also feel the pain on their electric bills. According to a recent article in the Washington Post, Dominion will offset millions spent annually on fuel by increasing their fuel charge, a move becoming more and more common across the state and nationwide. This change will increase energy bills by at least 18% for millions of Dominion customers. The first time you will see a difference will be July 1 but don't expect to see it end there. In fact, Dominion is expected to continuously raise the charge for the next three years as the artifical, state-imposed, fuel-charge cap expires.
