Calvert-Jones is committed to protecting our team members from accidents and providing a healthy and drug-free work environment. Because all Calvert-Jones team members and subcontractors have a safety-first commitment, Calvert-Jones Company, Inc. holds an incident rate well below the industry average for mechanical contractors.
The Calvert-Jones Safety Department consists of highly trained and dedicated safety professionals. Our Safety Director is an OSHA Construction Standards Outreach Trainer. Every project receives regular safety visits, including site inspections, safety training, and open communication between the project supervisor and safety team members.
The health and safety of Calvert-Jones team members and subcontractors is our number-one concern, which is why we strictly observe the following safety practices, among others:
- Safety inspections conducted by our Safety Director
- Drug testing and awareness programs that help to provide a safe, healthy, drug-free, workplace
- Training programs distributed weekly and monthly for field personnel including 10-hour and 30-hr OSHA certification training
- Back to Work Program for a gradual integration into work to ensure a speedy, full recovery for injured personnel
