Donate to the Fairfax Hospital Pediatric Ground Transport Team...

Calvert-Jones Co. has sponsored a golf outing the last two years for Fairfax Hospital Pediatrics and has raised over $115,000.00 for the Pediatric Ground Transport Team. Inova Children’s Hospital has 225 beds for sick and ill children. Most people do not know about all the GREAT things Inova is doing for the community and with sick children in the area unless you have had to deal with children with serious medical problems or conditions. Fairfax Hospital is in the process of trying to purchase an ambulance with all the necessary medical equipment. The total cost to outfit the ambulance with the necessary medical equipment to start treating your child, your friends child or a relatives child from the time they arrive at your home until they get you to the Hospital is between $350,000 and $400,000. Children’s Hospital in Washington, D.C. and Mary Washington Hospital in Fredericksburg are the only two hospitals in the area that have similar transportation units. With our traffic conditions, this outfitted ambulance is greatly needed. We are going to have a silent auction at the Gala on Nov.8^th.
